JOB DESCRIPTION
The JONAS ERP Technical Specialist/Business Analyst primary focus is on incident solutions.
Responsibilities include initial tests, research, and resolution of primary incidents and requests concerning the use of application software, hardware products along with infrastructure constituents. This role involves implementing, configuring, customizing, and maintaining the
JONAS ERP platform to meet the organization’s operational and strategic needs.
The JONAS ERP Technical Specialist/Business Analyst is accountable for gathering information
through a client conversation, leverage existing support tools, and additional support staff if needed. Issues outside the scope of their capability or responsibility are escalated to IT Team Members or 3rd party support vendors.
Responsibilities: JONAS ERP Technical Specialist Role
System Implementation & Maintenance:
- Lead the implementation and configuration of JONAS ERP modules to support organizational workflows.
- Manage system upgrades, patches, and enhancements to ensure optimal performance.
Customization & Development:
- Design and develop custom reports, dashboards, scripts, and workflows within the JONAS ERP framework.
- Build and maintain system integrations with other enterprise applications using APIs, middleware, or other tools
Troubleshooting & Support:
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues related to JONAS ERP.
- Provide end-user support and training for ERP functionalities and best practices.
- Actively monitor and respond quickly to incoming IT Service Requests
- Assist with onboarding & offboarding of users
- Contribute to the creation and updates of support documentation, SOP’s, etc.
- Log incidents and service requests and maintain relevant records:
- Identify and classify incident types and service interruptions
- Record incidents cataloging them by symptom and resolution
Data Management & Reporting:
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data within the ERP system.
- Develop and deliver custom reports and analytics to support business decision-making.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide ERP solutions that align with business objectives.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Project Management:
- Plan and manage ERP-related projects, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting, licensing, and system improvements.
Responsibilities: Business Analyst Role
- Gather and analyze business requirements to identify needs and solutions.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand objectives and translate them into functional specifications.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and interviews to gather and document requirements.
- Create process flows, wireframes, and use case diagrams to illustrate workflows and solutions.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify areas of improvement and recommend best practices.
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure requirements are met during development.
- Validate solutions through testing and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Prepare training materials and provide support during system implementation and rollouts.
- Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to maintain clear communication.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a
related field or equivalent experience
PREFERRED SKILLS
Technical:
- Strong expertise in JONAS ERP systems, including module configuration and customization.
- Familiarity in programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, SQL) and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
- Hands-on experience with system integration techniques, APIs, and data exchange protocols (e.g., REST, SOAP).
- Hands experience with Microsoft Power Platform Products such as Power BI & Power Automate
Functional:
- Understanding business processes such as finance, supply chain, HR, and manufacturing.
- Analytical skills to assess business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Soft:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Certifications:
- ITIL v4
- Project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2(nice to have)
- SQL Administration (nice to have)
- One or more or the following
- Certified Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Professional – ICCP
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (ERP) – Microsoft
- SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Oracle
- Workday Core Certification – Workday
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in ERP system implementation, support, or development with at least 5 years in JONAS ERP.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
This is an “On-site” full-time role based 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 08:30 to
17:00 ET excluding holidays along with On Call support outside of these hours for critical
operations and support situations as they arise.
